As per the Health Protection Agency (HPA's) Circular Number (IUL) 23/452/2022/8, the Public Health Emergency declared in the entire Maldives has been revoked, effective from 13th March 2022.

 

Arrival in the Maldives: All travelers must submit an online health declaration form via https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv within 48 hours prior to flying to the Maldives and again before departing the country.

 

Pre-arrival PCR Test is no longer required for all guests, regardless of their vaccination status. All travelers must have a confirmed hotel booking, sufficient funds for the intended period of stay, and a confirmed onward/return ticket to obtain a visa on arrival.


Departure from the Maldives: Please check if the immigration regulations of your final destination country require Covid-19 PCR test results. If yes, please inform the resort in advance or upon check-in so that the PCR test can be arranged on the island within the required timeframe. We recommend our guests purchase a travel insurance policy covering any disruption of travel, which should add comfort and security to their travel plans. Standard Payment and Cancellation Policy:


For the period of 11th January – 23rd December, full payment of the stay is required 30 days before the arrival date. 50% of the room rate will be charged for cancellations made 30 – 16 days prior to the arrival date. 100% of the room rate will be charged for cancellations made 15 days or less prior to the arrival date. No-shows will be charged 100% of the room rate and one-way transfer. Early departures will be charged 100% of the room rate and return transfers. Bookings made on non-refundable rates must be paid in full at the time of booking. No refund or change to the reservations are allowed.


For Festive Season (24th December – 10th January), a non-refundable deposit of 30% will be charged within 14 days upon confirmation. The full amount will be charged at least 60 days prior to the arrival date. Any cancellation made 61 days or more before the arrival date will be charged a 30% non-refundable deposit. 100% of the room rate will be charged for cancellations made 60 days or less to the arrival date. No-shows will be charged with 100% of the room rate and one-way transfer. Early departures will be charged 100% of the room rate and return transfers.


Please note that special terms and conditions may apply for promotional offers depending on the rate booked. The resort reserves the right to release the booking without prior notice if full payment is not received on time. Payment for all incidental charges will need to be settled at the resort before check-out. *All cancellation notifications must be received in writing by emailing the resort reservations office at surprise@ifuruisland.com.


Domestic Flight Transfer to the island Private Airport: The only one in the Maldives. The resort can be reached by a 27-minute domestic flight to our own stunning private airport. The domestic flight transfer rate is USD 390++ per adult (12 years and above) return trip. One-way transfer will be 50% of the return trip base rate. Children between 2 – 11 years will be charged USD 342++ (Infants below 2 years travel for free). Each guest (excluding infants) is allowed 20 kg of checked luggage and 5 kg of hand luggage. Any excess baggage is charged at a cost of USD 3 plus 16% GST per kg and is payable at the airport.


International arrival and departure flights must be provided at least 7 days prior to arrival to arrange the best transfer times. Any cancellations less than 24 hours prior to arrival and no-shows will incur 100% of transfer charges. For shared transfers, there is a waiting time at the terminal, maximum 3 hours after checking in. ++


Transfer rates are subject to 10% service charge and 16% government goods & service tax.


Seaplane Transfer: The resort is approximately 30 minutes away from Velana International Airport by seaplane. Seaplane is available during daylight only and subject to weather conditions. Seaplane Rates: Seaplane transfer rate is USD 570++ per adult (12 years and above) return trip. Children below 12 years are charged at USD 342++ per child on seaplane transfer rates. ++ Transfer rates are subject to 10% service charge and 16% government goods and service tax. Seaplane transfer terms and conditions: Baggage allowance is 20 kg and 5 kg hand luggage.

 

Any excess baggage is chargeable at USD 5 plus 16% GST per kg, payable at the airport. Infants under two years of age travel free of charge (sitting on a parent's lap). International arrival and departure flights must be provided at least 7 days prior to arrival to guarantee transfers on time. The international arrival flight needs to land in Male before 15:00. The international departure flight leaving Male should be scheduled after 9:00 only. For shared seaplane transfers, there is a waiting time at the private Finolhu Airport Lounge after checking in. Seaplane prices are subject to change without prior notice in accordance with any increases in fuel prices and taxes. Any cancellations less than 24 hours prior to arrival and no-shows will incur 100% of the transfer charges.

 

Check-in and Check-out: Resort check-in time is 14:00, and check-out time is 12:00. The resort clock is based on local Maldives time. Guaranteed early check-in or late check-out may be booked in advance at 50% of the nightly rate.

 

Mandatory Taxes: Rates are subject to all applicable taxes, which currently consist of a mandatory 10% service charge, 16% government and goods service tax (GST), and a Green Tax rate of USD 6 per person per night.

 

Deposit Policy: We require a guaranteed deposit upon check-in, either by cash or credit card, for any additional or incidental charges during your stay. We will release this guaranteed deposit upon check-out if it is not utilized.

 

Child Policy: One (1) child below 12 years can share a one-bedroom villa along with two adults (with the existing bedding only) for USD 6 Green Tax per night on the same meal plan as parents. A second child below 12 years can also share with two adults (with existing bedding only) for an additional charge of USD 100++ per night, on the same meal plan as parents. If the villa occupancy is intended for three (3) adults and one (1) child, this is only possible if the child is below the age of 12 years old and sharing the king-size bed with his parents. The 3rd adult will need to select the extra bed* option (surcharge applies). Alternatively, we will assist you in booking an additional villa for this purpose. A meal plan for children is available from the children's menu in our signature restaurants. Baby cots are complimentary and available upon request. ++ Transfer rates are subject to a 10% service charge and 16% government goods & service tax.

 

Liability of the Resort: The Resort limits its liability to the guests as follows: Claims for damages are excluded except in circumstances that result in injury to life, body, or property caused by an intentional or gross breach of obligation by the Resort. A breach of an obligation of the Resort is deemed equivalent to a breach of a legal obligation. In the event damages are caused to guests, the Resort shall act to minimize such damages as soon as it comes to the knowledge of the Resort without delay. At the same time, guests are obliged to take actions to keep the damage at a minimum. Liability claims against the Resort shall expire unless the guest notifies the Resort within 01 year of the occurrence of the event that caused the damages. Guests are responsible to advise and procure their own travel insurance to cover any possible incidents while staying at the Resort.

 

Drone Policy: Due to privacy concerns, IFURU prohibits the operation of unmanned aerial systems or drones, especially as we have our own private airport. We kindly ask guests to refrain from flying drones anywhere on the island.
